Vindera, the Philosopher

Vindera

Vindera was one of the first gods created outside of the Supremes. He is responsible for organizing the vast amounts of energies left over from the creation of the material planes, along with the Blacksmith. Together they sewed this energy into the fabric of the material plane, allowing its inhabitants to harness it through magic and spells. Vindera’s calculating nature led him to establish the physical laws of the material planes. Vindera is the god of magic, learning, and academics and is thus often worshipped by scholars and spellcasters. Followers of Vindera are often responsible for the creation of schools and libraries to share their vast knowledge of the arcane with others. 

Fable

“Deep within the ice of the north there is said to be a strange land, where the laws of nature do not function as they normally do. Gravity does not always work, time flows in weird ways, and even the fabric of reality itself seems to tear from time to time. It is said that while Vindera was working on some of the laws of the material plane, some of his experiments just didn’t quite work out. Yet even our mistakes give us something to learn. So Vindera set aside a piece of the world to leave these errors, hidden away from everything else. As he worked this area grew, an amalgamation of the surreal and absurd. Perhaps one day he could find something useful to do with them.”
